1ST ANNUAL AFRICAN FRAUD AND
CORRUPTION FORENSIC WORKSHOP
BACKGROUND
INFORMATION
Although corruption is a global phenomenon, it is more rampant and visible in many
Sub-Saharan African countries than on any other continent! Some have even taken the liberty to
say corruption is entrenched in the mentality and perceptions of African people.
It is obvious that corruption has consequences far beyond the actual point at which a corrupt act
has been committed. It not only presents economic detrimental repercussions but political,
social, and environmental consequences alike. The impact of corruption cannot be
underestimated therefore, there is a need for a paradigm shift to tackle corruption effectively!
Join us for the First Annual African Fraud and Corruption Forensic Workshop and be clothed with
relevant, cutting edge investigative tools to aid in your fight against fraud and corruption.
